Stock Gallery from CM7

I got fed up with the Blur Gallery app. It's laggy and kinda choppy when zooming.

So I grabbed the Gallery3d.apk from my old Nexus One, running CyanogenMod 7.1, and it works! Smooth, fast, and pretty.

I'm pretty sure it's just the stock AOSP gallery, with perhaps some code tweaks from the CM team.

Here it is, if anybody wants it.

Yeah i've been using this gallery for a few days now, i like it it much more than the blur gallery.

Thanks for this! The Blur gallery is pretty crappy. One of the few things that hasn't been improved substantially in this new version.

There's another plus hidden in here...
when you install the old gallery apk...
you get the old video player back..
with the ffwd/rwd buttons...
and it gives you choice of which player you would like to use...

I'm not sure. The build of CyanogenMod it was taken from is newer than October (I think it was a build from late May?). But I'm not sure how much they added/changed from the original code.

You'd have to check the changelogs for CyanogenMod 7.1 to see what they've done to the gallery app.
