Issues with app updates with gingerbread

I have had gingerbread for about a week now. I really don't have any kind of preference to either software versions. However with gingerbread I can not update any of my apps. It just continuously says its loading but nothing else ever happens. My phone, especially the touch screen, is slower than before. I haven't experienced any other issues, I was wondering if anyone knew what to do about this or any other issues I should expect.

You may have to do a factory reset then reinstall your apps. I had to do that afterwards, everything worked great.

Before taking the drastic step of resetting your phone, from your home screen, touch Menu>Manage Apps>All>Market>Clear data.
