I tried the nextheme 3.5....clean install.....on the first green droid screen I get fcloses pertaining to dialer..seems like there is no phone ak in there or something .

I got that and when I tried a second time to install it worked. I'm not sure why.

Yep, you can use SPRecovery or Clockwork.

Grinchy, I wasn't able to replicate the error but as it was said above try to install again and if that doesn't work hit me up on GTalk and I can help you out.
