[TOOL] ezSBF D2G
I originally built an .iso for the Droid X, it worked so well for so many people (70,000 downloads and counting), I decided to make versions for different devices. This .iso is for the D2G, I am taking request for other devices.
Don't let the word Linux scare you, this is just a cd you burn, nothing installs to your pc. Once you burn this CD you are ready to SBF flash anywhere you have a computer, no net connection needed to download any files.
Droid 2 Global Only! Versions available for other devices: OG Droid - Droid 2 - Droid X - Droid X2
This is an .iso file. It is a complete Linux operating system that you will download, burn to CD (or USB) then boot your pc from CD or USB, this allows your pc to reboot into a different operating system. The operating system has been preloaded with an SBF file for the D2G, sbf_flash (the Linux method of SBF flashing) and a script I wrote to execute it, this makes it very simple to SBF flash your phone. As soon as you boot into the Linux OS the script will automagically start and you will be ready to flash.
Video instructions on the process Thank you RageXmods! (He is using the Droid X version in the video)
Download - 1KDStaz_D2G_2.4.29.iso

Download - 1KDStaz_D2G_2.4.33.iso
293MB (307,232,768 bytes)
MD5 (1KDStaz_D2G_2.4.33.iso) = c5e2168b35a89578c49f7644c794ba79
Download - 1KDStaz_D2G_4.5.608.iso

MD5 (1KDStaz_D2G_4.5.608.iso) = f77ccbe8aa2eb492f1e48cbd9bbabf34
This version has the Droid 3 root script built in and allows you to root after SBF flashing or root only.
Please do not put up any mirrors, link this thread, if the download links aren't working let me know.

________________________________________________
You will now be in the script and ready to flash.
The pc screen will look like this: (screen shots from the Droid X version)

Use the numbers across the top of your keyboard, not the number pad
Once the flash completes you will see this: (again, screen shots from the Droid X version)

If you already use Linux as your OS of choice you can flash with your current system, grab sbf_flash and the SBF file then simply cd to where you put the files, then:
chmod +x sbf_flash
./sbf_flash filename.sbf

The drivers may or may not be 64 bit it actually depends on which version of Windows7 you installed. There are 32 bit versions of Win7 as well for those who do not have more than 2Gbs of Ram.
You have to have 4Gbs or more to run the 64 Bit if I'm not mistaken

You have it backwards... you need 64-bit to address 4Gb of memory. 32-bit is limited to about 3.5 Gb realistically.
Also, 1KDS, your OG Droid link is only going to a picture, not the post...

You can run 64-bit on much less than 4gb.... Netbooks do it all the time. 4gb isn't a requirement.

OG Droid link fixed. Let's keep this discussion about the Linux distro at hand, there are no drivers needed for this at all.

There are two .iso files to download, should we use the 2.4.33? What is the difference?

This worked great! Thanks for putting this together.
