Howdy,
Time to get the wife's Droid 2 Global updated and in the game.
Burned the cd fine and ran the 608 push, worked great. Then ran the root, worked great. Fresh like new 608 version rooted running great. One click is one thing, this runs on auto.
Nice work everyone involved.

My wife got a bad OTA update from Verizon on 3/7/12 for my D2G which running an OTA GB update, the phone was also unrooted, etc.
So unfortunately it was stuck in a boot loop at the Droid Eye start up screen, which eventually ran the battery completely dead.
Initially, I was able to charge the battery back up by plugging it in to the charger. However, the phone was constantly boot looping if I tried to power the phone on.
I was able to access the stock android recovery and clear cache, but the phone continued to boot loop. As such I decided to SBF the phone to try to get it to start up again.
Ive tried all 3 iso images on this thread now, and verified the check sums to match. In each case the Programming appears to be sucessful until the phone restarts itself.
Unfortunately, now I cant access Recovery mode after SBF-ing. Ive tried holding down the X button on the keyboard and the Vol+ and Vol- key while holding the power button down, but ulitmately only the bootloader screen pops up with the following error.
Ive tried pulling the battery as well.
I get the following message:
Bootloader
D0.11
Err:A5,69,35,00,27
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable
Is there a work around for this? I cant understand why my SBF is not working on this phone when Ive verified I have downloaded the files correctly?
Is there another means to wipe the cache and user data from the phone without going into Android Recovery Mode?
think you are out of luck, till new SBF is released.
new update is not compatible with known avalible SBFs
update must have been complete enough, that going back was not an option
could call verizon, tell them that they broke your phone

I went into the VZW store but its been 15months since I bought the phone and we switched to Page Plus Cellular 14months ago. So they were not exactly eager to assist with our issue. For course they would be more than willing to sell us a new phone with a 2yr contract.
Next time Im making sure that the OTA updates are turned off.
