Strange behavior with received calls, text messages and contacts

I have had my Droid-X since it first came out. All of a sudden, my recent calls list, my text message list and my contacts are all listed only by phone number and not by the name stored in my contacts folder. Does anyone know 1) why this would have suddenly changed and 2) how I restore my Droid to the standard way of listing recent calls etc (ie by name if the number is in my contacts list)?
