    Is there any compelling reason to...

    ..."upgrade" from the Monster GB Leak to the official OTA GB?

    I've been running the Monster GB Leak since July and everything more or less works great, except now Facebook contact picture syncing seems to have broken (was working a few weeks ago). I was all set to load up my nandroid of "fresh" MonsterGB, but started wondering if there was any reason to just SBF back to Froyo and go legit. Root apparently works on the OTA GB, there have been mostly favorable comments/reviews on it around these forums, and since I'll essentially be rebuilding my phone either way, is there any really good reason to go legit?

    Or does it not matter, and I should follow my normal behavior of trying to achieve the desired result with as little work as possible?

    I think you have to be on the OTA to flash CM7.

    You do. All the newer CM7 versions are based on the OTA GB.
