    Disable Auto App Restore?

Every time I reset the phone back to stock, it always redownloads some, but not all of my apps. I find it quicker and more efficient to restore them manually via Titanium Backup. I thought if I bypassed the Backup Assistant during the inital set up it would bypass this, but yet it still went on a download mission to restore apps! Is there some way I can prevent it from doing this so I can restore the apps manually? I would think this has been answered but a quick search of "restore app manually" did not return any results that looked useful.

Again I hate to double post with in 24 hours, but another reason I want to do this is it is faster then downloading the apps, and for some reason the restore isnt restoring about 40 apps. So I end up having to restore them manually anyways. I think it also wastes more battery, if I am doing this on the go, to restore the apps automatically then manually via TB. It seems to me it is triggered by launching the market app for the first time. Is that correct? That means I could restore TB Pro via a file manager and reload my apps through TB prior to launching the market for the first time?

I have a DX and am actually currently letting my phone download all mystuff... its so far been 5 hours and its almost done. Yes it is way more efficient with TB. In the DX (not sure about D2 but I thought id try) you go into settings - Privacy - and there is an automatic restore button that I believe if you uncheck should make it not download them. Also if you use backup assistant don't.
Goodluck sorry if its no help.

Thanks I noticed that setting earlier and forgot it! I will try to remember that next time.

As for sync, why do you say that? I did test out bypassing sync during set up and it still managed to auto restore. From what I noticed it started after launching the market and going to My Apps. Just wondered if any one else could confirm that.

Oh and 5 hours? Wow How many apps do you have? It takes MAYBE an hour for me to download about a 120 or so apps.

I've always used backup and I just guessed it had something to do with it.
And my 3g was very sketchy and it kept pausing all my downloads I don't know why but i've never had it take that long before. Normally as you said hour hour and a half max.
