If I could change one thing in the history of Android... if I had THAT kind of power over time and space... I'd go back to 1875 when Android and my great-great-great grandpa had their infamous gun fight in Hog Creek, Montana. It wasn't so much a shootout as it was a legal battle over who was the rightful owner of an antique musket. Pretty dull. I'd go back and change it into a shootout.

I would have added in some of the sorely overlooked features that are never in stock ROMs. Boot-time zipalignment, SQLite DB opitmization, built-in (to stock) CPU processor controls (minus voltage controls), and the ability to play back more types of videos/music.
    ! NEW DEVICE ! (as of 01-05-2014)
    LG G2 VS980 (VZW) (32GB)
    Stock VS98024A KitKat (rooted)
    TWRP 2.7.0.0

    Motorola Droid 1

    Steel Droid v12.0 (GB WIP)
    RZ's 2.0.3 Recovery

    Galaxy Nexus (32GB)

I would prohibit the patent office from issuing overly-broad and generic patents (think Apple's data-tapping patent).

A Universal Remote Control with IR port.

An IR port built in so my favorite toy, my Bionic, could also be a universal remote control !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ya Baby. Tell me that wouldn't be the coolest thing to use your smart phone for. It could then run my Tv, Blu-ray, Stereo, Surround sound, Projector, Direct TV, ETC. My Universal remote is always getting lost anyway, never again cause my phone is always with me !!! I had a watch years ago that was also a remote control, Coolest Watch the world has ever seen, so far!!

About a year before Android hit the market I filled out a survey from verizon asking what I would to see the next gen smart phones do. This was my suggestion. Thanks for not listening again verizon!!!!!!!

2nd suggestion: A REAL BATTERY!!!!!! This is something we all complain about!! When you really need to spend some time on the phone, web, email, etc. You can't depend on the life of the battery!!! Right?!? The phones are smaller, so make the battery's just a bit bigger!! I want a battery I can stream netflix for 24 hours straight!

if I could go back and change anything in the history of android,

it would be to establish hardware requirements so that android experiences are more consistent.

I would change all the stuff the guys before me have said ; ) no but one thing that has been hugely beneficial that has since been implemented on some devices would be the power widget in the status bar...

If I could go back and change anything in the history of Android I would have Google get a license from Oracle.

If I could change any one thing in Android history, I would make the g1 come out on all carriers before the iPhone was ever released.
