I think if there was one thing I could change, it would be pushing Android tablets earlier, as to compete with the iPad a little sooner and maybe gain more traction.

I would have liked to have seen less fragmentation. It's good to see that they are at a point where devices will start running the same software as they are released so developers will have an easier time working on apps for multiple devices. I've noticed that it is often hard to get designers to stick around since they have to contest with different issues between different generations of the software. Sadly there will still often be the hold up from manufacturers, but that's another gripe![]()

I might suggest that we show the early dev.s what the hardware of today (tomorrow)is going to like so they could be up against. Even the knowledge of secured bootloaders might have changed the way we planned and distributed Recoveries & ROM's.
Thanks again for another awesome giveaway.... I would change that when a company like Motorola sucks us in on the Droid Razr then sees there mistake and comes right out with the Maxx they should be held accountable for there error and replace the Razr with Razr Maxx now would that not be a change wishful thinking.Hey just my opinion ..............
It's that time again and we have a very unique giveaway to announce. We are giving away the Sony Smartwatch! This watch does more than just tell time, it allows you to check your text messages, emails, Facebook updates and much more. Sony describes the SmartWatch features as follows:
Make sure to check out the Video on their site to see the Smartwatch in action. Ok, so what do you have to do to win? To win this geeky-cool gadget, we thought we would make the contest a little bit clever this time, and test the creativity of our members. To enter you just have to describe one thing that you would change in the history of Android if you could go backwards in time. The winner will be chosen randomly when the contest closes on Friday June 8, 2012 at 12:00 pm Central.
We called to verify that the watch will work across the many different Android handset manufacturers and were assured that most, if not all, high end Android handsets in the US would be compatible, so jump right in and enter.
Good luck everyone, this should be a fun one[/QUOTE]
I would have made it simpler to update to the newest os version. Not sure how I would do this though...

If I Could change one thing It would be these updates that leave us in suspense for freaking months!!!!! haha when there suppose to freaking push! freaking push em!! lol even though alot of it has to do with cell carriers im sure we could figure something out right?????![]()
Eliminate fragmentation... and the resulting lag in upgrade cycles.
Andy (my Droid4) wants his ICS and he wants it NOW... not 2012 Q3, maybe!
I would make android updates more like iOS updates. When a new OS is released, everybody can upgrade (as long as the phone is capable).
I would create a mandatory governance model that enforces one version of the system on all hardware thus allowing more cross-hardware compatibility for developers.
I would have used different types of Apples for the names of the different versions of Android, everything except
