I would make the phones be able to pop into a tablet to give you larger form when needed, and then have the tablet attach to a dock for when you need a keyboard. One CPU to rule them all
    Deep Thought #1
How does Verizon sell phones at their own stores? Any phone they sell, can be found for 50% to 75% less on Amazon, or at Best Buy. Does Verizon operate their stores on a "there is a sucker born every minute" business model?
    Deep Thought #2
Is Verizon's customer service philosophy: frustrate, aggravate, and exasperate, these annoying interruptions to our day, will eventually go away?

I'd have Moto make the Nexus devices, but with an unlocked bootloader.

I really really really want this watch

So, what would I change about Android. I would have made it so that all handsets ran the same version of Android. Get rid of all the branding and apps that carriers put into their versions. I think that would give everyone a cleaner version and would make upgrades easier.

I would have to agree with the above comments about bloatware, but if I could go back and change one thing it would be to have only unlocked phones. Open source everything.

I would have kept the OS open and not allowed venders to lock down the software.

If I could go back, I would make it so that Google mandated that all devices shipped had to be unlockable. I would also try to reduce the fragmentation of the devices.

If I had a special Delorean that could achieve 88 MPH we would all be set.

I'd definitely make sure there was less os fragmentation and that bootloaders were never ever ever locked.

it's funny, reading through this after posting it seems everyone wants basically one thing, unlocked bootloaders and less os fragmentation those are the two biggest problems, and honestly they seem like they could be fixed pretty easily with a bit of effort.

One thing I would change is the oppenness of the os, I would keep it so that carriers cannot add all their bloatware onto the phones and force you to be tied down to any single carrier. Having to mod a phone that we pay our hard earned money for in order to free ourselves from this bloatware and nonsense is crazy.

I also would change Android in a way that any phone we have be it past, present or future it can run without any problems. Hardware limitations prevent certain phones from getting updates, so I would scale down the OS in order to work for these phones, sortta have an android os lite version. This way everyone can enjoy all the features of the newest os without having to upgrade a phone they may already love

what to change in Android history....

I think the only reference on the history of Android that I can use is from my personal experience....I would go back and change my idecisi not to upgrade my RaZr to a RaZr MaXX when I had the chance in my first two weeks of service...which of course was to late to get on the unlimited data package wagon....I have my phone plugged in right now and am currently worried I will owe the boys in red MORE money for the data I have used thus far in my billing period....looking kinda bleek. So I guess with a time machine, and the fore sight my phone problems might not be top of the list, definently not over getting the lottery tickets for last night with the winning numbers, but to go back and change Android future? I would have to go back and slap this insignificant user in the face, ask him what hes thinking UPGRADE and do it earlier!
Given' the masses fat assss since 2001......
