I would go back and convince Google to, from the beginning, request (or require) manufacturers to commit to keeping handsets supported and up to date with the latest OS (if possible). I would hope that this would a) Convince OEMs to release less models so they had less to support i.e. concentrating on a few rather than flooding the market with every variation possible b) maybe convince the OEMs to "take it easy" on their custom overlays to allow for easier updating during OS version changes c) if OEMs are spending less time developing their own overlays/skins they'd be concentrating more on the stock software and thus contributing back code accelerating the improvement of the core OS

Why would you change something that is already perfected?

Well i would change the way we update. Defiantly have Google in charge of that and when a new OS is out, have a timeline for when the manufacturer have to have it out. That would eliminate a lot of the fragmentation.

If I could change one thing in the history of android it would be the whole needing to have a thin light phone idea. I would much rather have a solid feeling phone with great battery life!

I would have "link2sd" part of the OS.
Never again then shall the annoyance of "out of space" be seen.

I would make Android unskinnable....you want your device to run Android? Then run it as it is...stock. Oh yeah, I also want to make the hardware a little more uniform...while selection is great, it dilutes the experience overall...perhaps a lighter version for "lesser" devices?

There are numerous things to change. Bootloaders, less diversification, more OTA's. But the main thing to me, is i would change the phone to either come rooted stock, or the android timeline to have started alot earlier. By a couple of years preferably. Thats my idea on the topic. Id love to get the watch and some Google glasses. Im that nerd!

If I could change one thing in the history of Android it would be the look and feel of the display. While I was in the Verizon store waiting for the salesclerk to get my new Droid 4 I played with an iPad. I'm not sure why but the display was very responsive and looked beautiful. I've had Android for the last couple of years and never thought there was a problem with the display until I looked at the iPad. Still love Android!
