Ok, followed all steps to get CM7 to no avail. 1st attempt: stuck in bootloop with skaterdroid. I read about not doing this with cpu overclocked so I restored the normal cpu settings and I then tried again, deleting caches and the lke, this time I get stuck on the "M" for a while, the the phone rebooted without installation???

I'm new at this. Please help!

Ps: I rooted with rsdlite, sprecovery. I know I'm rooted.

it wasn't booting into factory recovery, i was mistaken. it was booting up to a screen with a yellow triangle and a phone and it would just sit there.

Has anyone figured this out? I have the same problem.

I just flashed CM7 on my D2G with ROM Manager, and I got stuck in a boot loop. I'm so mad right now because I did everything that I was supposed to do. Anyway, does anyone know how to get into Clockworkmod recovery when the phone is off?

There isn't a way. You have to boot the D2 and launch the bootstrap app to boot in to Clockworkmod. You did follow the specific directions for the Droid 2 and not the more basic directions used on the Droid?

You'll have to .sbf back to stock and try again. You'll need Rom Manager, and D2 Bootstrapper to install a ROM.

Im not sure if im posting in the right place, however ive just flashed cyanogenmod 7 onto my Samsung galaxy mini. Its a great rom and very cool. I can call and text fine and have a 3g connection however if i try and go into accounts and sync and add 'anything' it just says error unable to open connection to server, im perplexed as to what to do or how to fix it. I put clockworkmod on my phone, then put the cyanogenmod 7 on the sd, installed and off i went....
Hope someone can help
