    im android2.2.1 need 2.3??

    i want to download cyanogenmod7 but im running an an android 2.2.1 and heard i hyave to b on 2.3 what should i do

    What phone do you have first? I don't believe you have to be on 2.3.3 to have CM7. If you have a Droid X you have to be on 2.2.1

    If you root your phone and flash it with a new rom it doesn't matter what your current rom/version is. You are replacing the current with the new.

    If you apply a rom or theme - backup first!
    If you don't know how to backup...Stop until you do.
    hint: I name my backups like this: sg6.0_20100428 or ss4.2_20100626 to easily find them later. rom and date.

    now originnaly i was told to download the two different files for cm7 but when i watch the youtube video he only mentions downloading the 1 update-cm-7.1.1.0-rco-droidx-kand-signed-monster and then while in boot strap do i also bring up the gapps and cwr camera fix at that time? I need the best directions i cant find so i dont mess this up
