    Random reboots inside recovery

For the last month or so, I've been having random reboots when booted into recovery. I've had this happen with both CWRecovery and RZRecovery. Has anyone else had this happen?
I'll boot into recovery to flash a new kernel or build or whatever, navigate through the menus to wipe cache or dalvik, the phone will freeze and then reboot. It'll reboot back to my ROM, unless I can hold X quickly enough to go back to recovery. Usually, if the phone can be in recovery mode for at least 10-12 seconds, it won't reboot. I don't know if this is something weird with my device, or if maybe anyone else has had this issue?

Have you tried to flash the recoveries using SBF? It sounds like you may have a corrupt mtd partition, or a larger issue.

Let me think. I did flash clockwork via sbf when rzr was giving me issues flashing kernels a few weeks back. I can't recall if that was when this rebooting occurred, however. I have a feeling it may be related to failures to mount my sdcard when in recovery. When I last tried to use the update_deprimed script it failed because clockwork couldn't mount my sdcard quickly enough, and recovery rebooted.

My phone always did this same thing on the first boot into CWM. Something about SD card not mounted. That was the main reason I went to RZR; have you tried flashing RZR within itself?

I've only tried flashing rzr from clockwork.
Maybe I'll try that: flash rzr from clockwork and the reflash rzr on top of itself. Is that what you're suggesting?

Fortunately for me, when I switched to RZR this problem went away but I was having backup/restore issues until I flashed it from within itself. Worth a shot though; I know your issue is a pain in the ...

Thanks, I'll give it a shot and report back.
