Exclamation Droid won't boot OR into recovery mode

I have a droid that was running cm7 and everything was running fine. I was in Rom Manager and it force closed then reboot itself. However, on the reboot it got stuck in the cm7 logo and it keeps spinning. I have done many battery pulls and waited 30+ mins on the bootloop.

Also, when i try to get into recovery it just goes to the cm7 bootloop.

    any advice?

Trying to get into recovery by holding x before boot correct? Your recovery might be corrupt or something, you'd need to use fastboot to push a new recovery

    Yup,
[GUIDE] ADB, Fastboot, and Nandroid for Noobs - xda-developers
    Basic adb/shell commands for noobs - xda-developers

you'll want to use the fastboot erase recovery command, you're also going to have to find a new recovery image for the droid

I think to get into fastboot on the droid its power on and volume down, those instructions are for the G1 so obviously it's going to be a little different.
