Cyanogen 7 Notification bar clock no AM/PM

Ok just flashed my Moto Droid 1 to CM 7 RC2. Never used Cyanogen before so I'm still trying to find where it hides things.

Did a search here and did not find it. My clock in the notification bar doesn't display AM or PM. Is there a setting somewhere to enable that? Or is that a function of themes?

    Thanks
    nline

This is a change in Gingerbread itself. Not really sure why this was removed but that's how it is. Not sure if your able to get it back other than going back to Froyo.

Well that's dumb. I'll have to see if Google's bug tracker has an open ticket on this.

I didn't notice this til you mentioned it. I prefer to have the A.M. / P.M. listed but I've been using GB ROMs for a while now and not noticed it, so I guess it isn't that much of a problem for me. Maybe we can get it back easily in the near future.

    Alternatively,

    Menu > Settings > Date & Time > Check Use 24-hour format

I know it isn't what you wanted but I figured I'd offer the suggestion as it is just as good as A.M. and P.M.

It has been brought to my attention that I don't meet the requirements to post my dropbox referral link in my signature. Also it's against our forum rules...
So if you're interested, ask me about my Dropbox referral link.

I noticed it when I first flashed it but it's not a big deal to me. I know when it's am and pm lol all I need is the time.

Not if your not used to 24 hour time keeping. Never was in the military nor in Europe. I really don't want to have to stop and figure out the correct time in my head.

This use 12 hour time and look outside to see if it is AM or PM (You mean you don't already know)?

I added a patch that makes the AM/PM configurable, it may or may not merge before the official CM7 is released. (Which means you can have Eclair's AM/PM, Froyo's AM/PM, or Gingerbread's lack of one).

The only reason why I believe it was removed is to save space in the bar for notifications/alerts. Seems unnecessary to put am/pm when it is obvious when its night and day.
