Why are we back at version 2.3.3? 2.3.5 is latest, no?

Open a terminal, type su hit enter, type primed and hit enter.

To be certain you have the latest kernel simply download from the bit.ly/deprimed_test URL as this is always the latest available...an update will be made when I get my development environment back (hard drive failure)...glad I uploaded the kernel to git else I would have lost it as well.

I don't understand this post. What has changed? Are we able to change the carrier banner? Mine still says 'Verizon Wireless', so nobody has changed it for me. /lost

Yes you can change the carriers label to say what ever you want. It in Cyanogenmod setting>Interface>Status bar tweaks
You select Custom text under carrier label type then change it under custom carrier label.

I was a little disappointed last night after configuring the new Winner build. It seemed that my Droid was a total slug. I've got everything set back the way it was and after a few reboots it's still kind of slow. Not sure what to think.

Seems that the fix for the wifi connection makes going to wifi from 3G slower. The 'I can't get data immediately after a call' issue never bothered me, so I can't say if it's really fixed or not. I've only cleared the Dalvic cache- not any data wipe.
    1. backup via ROM Manager
    2. flash new winner build (ROM Manager)
    3. flash google apps
    4. flash DePrimed kernel
    5. run SuperCharger script (although the old data values were still there)
at some point in there I had to sign in to google and also there was a reboot involved to get the phone to act rooted again so I could get the Prime kernel in. Basically my phone is set up just the same way it was before, but response is slow on finger/screen inputs. Any suggestions?
I tried to figure out which deprimed kernel I had flashed earlier, but from reading all around I couldn't quite get the hang of Prime's number system. I had downloaded a deprimed kernel via Kernel Manager and that was what I was running. I think it said #9.
Taking Prime's advice to download from the true source, I flashed what's supposed to be the latest and now I see "#1".
So, I'm still lost as to how to figure out the version numbers... anyway, the Droid seems to be happy.
I'm experimenting with Bumblebee in SetCPU to see if that's any better than 'On Demand'.

    fun fun
