Yea kevdog I remember awhile back you posted your scripts for handling the swap partition. I couldn't remember or find that thread, so that's why I've been running swapper2. I never got around to implementing your script. Thanks for keeping your eyes open for this topic. So if I change my swap partition from 64mb to 256mb it'd run better for longer?

I'm not sure how to answer the question that it would run better. zram0 or compcache swap (which is an allocated portion of RAM), certainly runs faster and smoother than sdcard swap. I never tested just running sdcard swap in isolation without compcache although this is entirely possible. In the limited verification process I was doing (and I mean limited), I never saw both compcache swap and sdcard swap actually completely fill. I suppose this might be do to some memory management the kernel is doing, so I guess its possible with more total swap, that a higher percentage would be used prior to the kernel clearing or "freeing" the swap. Surprisingly I didn't see much of a performance hit if I designated sdcard swap as primary and zram0 swap as secondary (rather than vice-versa how its usually done), however I never really benchmarked this to justify my observation.

The biggest performance hit was when compcache began to lag. I saw this consistently. When it lags however depends on the number of programs being run and the memory each requires -- so its a vary variable process and depends on use. I wanted to create a widget on the home screen that I could push that when activated would "free" or clear the swap partition. Actually all I wanted the widget to do was to run a script when pushed. I don't know how to do this or just didn't look hard enough so I never implemented this.

    Kevdog:

Script Manager (on the market). I use the free one. Very useful app.

Kindof like scripter, terminal emulator and notepad ++ wrapped into a package, tied with a bow.

You can set widgets to run your scripts... amongst other things.

    Which release are you on?
The 'new' stable release is a couple months old already- 7.0.3.
Even the 'release candidate' 7.1.0 RC1 has a couple weeks of dust on it.

Nightly builds are released, well, nightly.

What has just been announced in this thread is the release of a nightly as brewed by one particular developer- winner00.

134 was just released. Winners build was on 132 I think. I had problems with 132 and after a few hours on Winners 132 build. Camera was great on 131 as was data. I noticed that there was no change log on 132 for what thats worth.
Anyway I just downloaded 134 (133 was skipped) about to see.
You can go from one to another usually without data wipe as long as it is CM7 131 was much better than the last stable for me.

Just installed Supercharger V6. After updating to a new nightly do we need to rerun the script all over again?

    Thanks
