**CM7 Build Thread**

Has anyone tried the "theme chooser" yet? I thought the last I heard was that it still has issues, can anyone confirm or deny? I'm digging NexTheme right now, but was curious.

I did. Sadly, the one theme I like causes lag when scrolling through some things like settings and root explorer. I like the concept and I don't think all the themes do it. I tried adjusting other settings to compensate (cpu speeds, compcache etc) but didn't have any luck. Other than that, it works well. Might just be that (or some themes) thay have that issue.

That's cool...sounds like something that is still in development like the rest of the ROM...just didn't know if I was missing out on something. Thanks!

Can anybody tell me how the wifi works? I have had troubles for awhile while on all forms of GB. Thought it was my modem. swapped that out. I thought it was like the 3g where it turns white its out or whatever...but it seems to work when it is white and not work when it is green/red (I have a red theme on right now)

whats the word on the kernel with the compcache modules, etc., built in?

I have been trying to port 2.6.37 over to the droid with smartass governor and hopefully a functional smartreflex, then got sidetracked building latest cm nightly. It will be done by tomorrow likely.

That will be completely awesome. I hope its successful. Are you planning on committing to cm source?

No you can just format each one...make sure you've either done a titanium backup or one in clockworkmod first.

Look through the list of wifi points you have connected to and see if there are any that are old. A while back, when I would try to connect to wifi, just before it would connect it would disconnect and try again. I deleted a few of the access points and it started working again.

2.6.37 is in the cyanogen mod git and used on some devices, but there is no setup for the Droid to use this kernel. I am unsure I have the time (or knowledge perhaps) to port all the necessary patches alone. I would be happy to share the code with the cyanogen team (cvpcs on droid).

I will likely just put all my effort into 2.6.32.X, otherwise you would have a long wait ahead of you.

Very good advice, stale wifi access points between ROM flashing cause all kind of wifi issues. I recommend deleting them all actually, but thats me.

Thanks for the update, Prime. I hope someone builds the kernel for Droid. I hope that you and cvpcs can get the kernel built. I certainly hope so. It would complete the Droid cm7 build.
