    Kev,

Attached is an update.zip file which is the 6.1.2 stock one I pulled from my phone. Please treat it as an update that does not require the recovery step to treat as deprecated zip, and install update.zip. Use the choose *.zip method. I say this as I am new at this, and am not sure my signing method creates a proper deprecated update.zip file. I did flash this back to my phone with no issues, so the file should be good.

The second file is services.zip. IT is NOT a zip file. change the extension to .jar, and it will be the stock 6.1.2 file that I also pulled from phone this morning. I did not adb or install this to check. I just renamed and uploaded here.

    Fur,

I am not flashing the nightlies, but I will meet you half way. If you can pull the services.jar and attach or get it to me I will practice some more for you.

    Thanks,

    Craig

I only flashed it because I wanted to see what the fuss was with the rotary lockscreen -- and it unlocks about 2x to 3x as fast as it did with the bar slider. I suppose I could flash back to try, but if you want the practice...

Too bad I already deleted the update.zip. Okay, I'll be right back with it once I download the ROM again.

    Here you go.

    :edit:

If you want, just modify it and I'll put it back in my ROM update.zip, flash it on that way -- if it'll work.

    Fur,

Here you go. A proper zip file with the modified services.jar file from the one you attached above. Since you offered to let me off easy (no update.zip), I thought I would take you up on the offer. By the way, the services.jar file from the nightly had the same number and named files for throttling.

I am off to stoke the woodstove, feed the pooches and crack another beer. We have been at 12 below the last couple of nights, and I am not sure where we are going tonight, but time for a movie, a beverage and a little heat........Yes, New Mexico.

My phone did not like the modified file. It just bootlooped on the CM boot animation.

    Ah well. Thanks, Craig!

update.zip format? I'll try that as soon as I can stop wifi tethering for the other computer that needs my connection.

You guys don't have to keep making these for each nightly, etc. Extract the service.jar and put it in /system?/framework
