    Bootlooped my Refurb D2?

    Dang it!

I thought I was being careful, but after I flashed Cm7 Nightly from 5-27-2012, I can't get passed the Skateboard Droid.

And I can't get back to CWM.

Now what the heck do I do?

Do I really want this D2? Maybe I should have asked Asurion for a different model? My currently activated phone is a D1.

Thanks. Any help is much appreciated.

Going to have to drop an SBF into RSD Lite is my guess. It's not as easy to fix a bootloop on the D2 as it is on the D1.
Don't be scared, adb is your friend.

    That sounds good!

How exactly do I do that?

I'm not sure what an SBF is...

    Thanks,

Just google for RSD Lite and download that to your computer. Then you need to see what your current Android version is (settings-about phone). You'll need to download a .SBF file that matches that version. Otherwise, your phone may only boot to the bootloader with an error.

I'm pretty sure I have RSD Lite already from rooting my D1.
But how do I determine which CM7 I'm running if I can't boot to it?
And the drivers for RSD are critical? Where do I get those?
Can I do all that with the phone off-line?
    Thanks,

    -KP

    I found this thread:

    http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dro...-tutorial.html

And was able to get it to boot into CM7 after step #4 > Factory Reset.

The volume keys from stock recovery was the missing link.

That still leaves the question of whether I want a D2 or not.

I don't change roms weekly or anything and really just want a phone that's not restricted by not being rooted. It IS my phone after all.

Not sure what else Asurion might have available.
