how to make themes?

i want to make a theme like other people have been doing. I am good with computers and phones so how would i make them? what do i need?

I just came across this, but I never used ADB that much: Your #1 ADB Source!! - 7/29/11 - ChevyNo1Droid - Droid X - AllDroid Public Board I know it says Droid X, but ADB is ADB.

An easy way to start is with icons. They will be located in system\app\SystemUI.apk and/or system\framework\framework-res.apk\res\drawable-hdpi. The location of the apps themselves are system\app. Use 7zip to open any rom or theme to find those.
I say icons are easy because all you need is 7zip to swap them out. Stuff like fonts, system text needs a bit more done to get to the .xml files. That info should be in the 1st link. Hope this was some help.

Thanks i guess ill give it a try but can it be done on a mac?

Never had a mac to try it on. Unless you have parallels, but I really cant say for sure.
