EL brightness problem

I just upgraded to 4.9 patch 1.. When I switch EL brightness on, it reverts back to normal brightness after the screen is shut off..this didn't happen with 4.8..any ideas on how to fix this?

I can confirm this I think Chevy may already be aware?

The issue with EL Brightness has been reported, and I have already fixed it - this will come in the next release and possibly a patch.

As far as the settings button - it does give you the option of both, I suggest clicking normal Settings to be the default, and have Tools as an icon on the desktop. Otherwise, you would need a settings icon on the desktop.

They were split out because I prefer having my code by itself and not intertwined with Google's code ...

I definitely have the problem with the El brightness. I have to open it in Chevy's tools for it to dim all the way back down again. Not that big a deal, just kills my battery a lot quicker. With the stock brightness all the way down it doesn't get that dim, definitely need to use those non-stock settings. I'm on my phone wayyy too much

I'm not using the El bright feature but have found periodic problems with screen coming back on after it times out or when unmounted from the media doc. Have to slide key board open to get it back to lock screen. Anyone else?

I have noticed the screen on mine just randomly turning on while it's just sitting unattended. I thought I was just going crazy. Glad to know I might not be.
