Screen randomly turning on?

I don't know if this is a Chevy thing or if it's something else, but as far as I know this has only been happening since I installed 4.71. For some reason, the screen keeps randomly turning on. The phone will be lying on my desk, and I'll notice the home keys just lit up, and the screen will be on. I can only imagine what is happening when the phone is in my holster - I'm wondering if this might be some of the cause of my recent battery woes? Anyone have any info on this?

My wife is having the same issue with her Droid 2. It seems to have started in the last week or two. I haven't done any updates and can't thing of any apps that would have altered it. I brought it into the Verizon store and they installed a task killer (which didn't work and I subsequently uninstalled). The backlight will stay on if you don't notice it, so the battery life has suffered as well.
