Just wondering if Chevy is working on a fix for the new market patch that new FRG22D OTA fixes. Anyone heard?
The "market" fix is only modifying the build.prop file to use whatever the current release keys and ID strings Verizon is using. If you can edit a text file you can modify it yourself. build id, fingerprint, keys and UTC date telling the Market what OS version you are running so it displays what you should be able to see.
Chevy will change his build.prop to match, if it's not using the new FRG22D fingerprint already.
Per Chevy (in another thread):
4.8 will be FRG22D based - I'm running it now, albeit there is more work to go"
From what I have read (and that's only a little bit since they expect me to do management stuff at work), the "fix" will be allowing your Droid to see all apps in the market that will work with FRG22D, like the new version of Flash. Right now, those who have installed the upgrade can see and install the new(er) flash. I haven't and cannot.
From my understanding this "market fix" is only so you can grab Flash 10.1 from the market. If you're rooted you've probably already been running flash for some time now.
I am running pre-4.8 right now with the FRG22D proprietary files and keys - am looking at Flash 10.1 on the market right now

Back with SS 4.6 I looked in the market and was able to see Flash. So not taking any chances I downloaded it and it is working just fine. Not sure where it went to and I really have no screen shots to prove it.
