Huge problem... ROM Manager + Chevy Kernel

    Ok...

I was running bugless beast .4

then I downloaded ROM Manager. I flashed to ROM Manager clockwork recovery mode instead of SPRecovery.

I then did a backup through ROM Manager.

Next I downloaded chevy 1.25 uLow kernel

i installed it with ROM Manager...

now it's starting an endless boot cycle...

whenever i do a battery pull, i try to start it up in recovery mode by holding Power + R on the keyboard...

however it just starts right back into the boot cycle...

    please help!

instead of power + R, try power + x when you restart your droid

Pull the battery, press X on the keyboard, hold X on the keyboard. Keep holding X on the keyboard. Still holding X? Good. Now press and hold power till it lights up. Keep holding that X key. Don't let it up quite yet.

If it still won't boot into recovery you're screwed and will have to use RSDLite to flash either a stock SBF or SPRecovery back on. ROM Manager doesn't always play nice with FroYo.

Make sure you have at least 70% battery or are plugged into a wall charger and have at least 40%.

Now, once you get into recovery, restore that backup you made right before you flashed in the kernel. Why did you jump on the 1.25 ULV kernel? Had you verified that the 800MHz ULV kernel would work on your phone first? Because when you're going into the ULV kernels it's VERY hit-or-miss because of the reduced current pushing the CPU. Was this your first kernel flash? If so you should have picked either lower voltage or faster speed over stock, not going for the absolute minimum and max at the same time.

The problem isn't with ROM manager...its with the choice of the ulv 1.25 kernal. Your phone probably cannot handle it. I know with mine the highest I can go with is the 1.1 LV kernal. When I tried the 1.2 kernals or ulv the phone would boot loop. Step to the voltage or lower mhz until you find a kernal that works.
