    Cannot underclock using SetCPU???

    Ok. I'm running SS 4.6 on my rooted Moto Droid using Chevy's uLv 1.1Ghz kernel. The CPU will not drop below 550Mhz at any point. The minimum set in SetCPU is 250Mhz, and the max is 1.1Ghz. It fluctuates, however, only between 550 and 1.1. I was originally running the uLv 1.2Ghz kernel and had no issues with that. This had started this morning from what I've noticed. I've tried re-flashing the kernel and re-installing SetCPU.

    Any other ideas? I think my next step may be to try a low-voltage kernel.

    total guess: but do u have profiles set that contridict the setting?

    You have the phone plugged in to the charger if it doesn't drop below 500 Mhz.

    and if you're using your phone unless you have the max set to 550 or below your phone will not clock itself that low... so maybe if you want it to do that set a max in a profile to 550 or lower... don't know why you would want it like that... other than the screen off setting...

    It wasn't dropping below 550 even off the charger, though that is something I didn't even think of. Did some tinkering. What ended up happening is I just flashed Chevy's 1.2Ghz low-voltage kernel, and that fixed the problem. The main issue was when it was sitting, not seemingly doing anything, it was holding at 550Mhz. Now, after flashing it ranges from 250Mhz up to 1.2Ghz. I'll read the overclocking 101 thread later today to get a clearer understanding of it.
