    Yes it would be so much easier to push one XMl file rather than the whole apk!! subscribed!!!

    Just installed this and it worked great! Didn't think the percentage battery icon was all that important to me until it wasn't there. It's nice to know you percentage while in an app ...

    Chevy's download link is dead, I found it here

    but when I install on my D1, it appears to be stuck on 40% - though I am at 100% charge - and the charging icons do not initiate. Then on reboot, I get a "?" in the battery icon. So I performed a nandroid restore.

    1. a necropost was applicable here since I was providing a new link for the dead link the OP has posted

    2. that mod, when opening the apk, looks to replace all sorts of files - the entire /res/ directory for example which seems to cause some some issues - when all that is desired is the battery images and the applicable stat_sys_battery.xml

    EDIT: sent my phone into a boot loop. Again, likely for the fact it replaces a whole slue of files.. not just the battery images and the stat_sys_battery.xml file that tells the phone to use the new images
