Screen timeout, WiFi to 3G auto-switching, etc. I dunno. When the process does rail 100%, then no I can't connect to my network nor stop WiFi. Only a reboot fixes it.
Update: './adb logcat' caught the anomaly; here are the error lines:

    E/wpa_supplicant( 1384): ERROR - wpa_driver_tista_private_send - error sending Wext private IOCTL to STA driver (ioctl_cmd = 8021501, res = 1, errno = 11)
E/wpa_supplicant( 1384): ERROR - Failed to do tista scan!

The the tiwlan_wq processes is then railed, thermal/battery run-a-way, bad!! Attached is the log file, it shows the WiFi trying to connect to my 2 remembered access points (even though only 1 is in range).

I also noticed that every other ROM I've tried hides the 3G/G/1x icon when WiFi is connected. But this SS 4.7 seems to display both. Normal? Expected?

    (good; wlan works normal)
    1349 0% S 1 0K 0K fg root tiwlan_wq

(bad; wlan hung, need to reboot)
    User 0%, System 98%, IOW 0%, IRQ 0%
    User 2 + Nice 0 + Sys 302 + Idle 0 + IOW 0 + IRQ 3 + SIRQ 0 = 307
PID CPU% S #THR VSS RSS PCY UID Name
    1349 96% R 1 0K 0K fg root tiwlan_wq

Can anyone else duplicate? What is your WiFi Sleep Policy? Thanks!
    No other comments, huh?
What should I try first? A different radio file? ROM? or Kernel?
    Thanks.

Kernel, ROM, back to stock/root, in that order, if you want to do empirical testing.

Chevy, any way you are going to make your kernels with interactive governors soon? That governor runs so smooth but I absolutly love you ULV kernels battery life. Let me know please!

Chevy, is there any chance of enabling compcache? Or was that one of the issues you were having getting this batch of kernels to work?

    1) Are these chevy kernels based on the lastest FRG22D kernel (2.6.32.9-g874c292 android- build@apa26 #1)? If not,

    2) Is there a benefit to running the newest kernel? If yes,

    3) Is there a plan to have these chevy kernels based on the newest kernel?

    4) Finally, is the stock kernel avail in update.zip in case I want to go back or do I need to back it up myself?

Thanks! (Hope these aren't already answered questions, I read the entire thread but didn't see an answer)

Hey Chevy, I've been using your kernels for ages and they run great on my Droid. Thanks for all the work you put into these very key components...

I've had a question about voltage... I know from other threads here that you've indicated that the programming of voltage doesn't correspond to actual voltage numbers, so I'm not really looking for that. Mostly what I'm looking for is a comparison of your kernels with whatever might be considered to be "stock" voltage...

IE: I've been using your newest Froyo 7-slot 1.25GHz kernels since they arrived, most of the time clocked at no higher than 1GHz. I'm after speed, but not at the expense of stability, and I'd prefer lower temperatures and battery usage. For my Droid, I'm vacillating between the Medium Voltage and Low Voltage kernels...

To put this into a question, what is the approximate percentage voltage difference between these kernels and what might be considered "stock" or "standard" voltage? Also, is there any effective voltage difference between the 1.25GHz kernels at 1GHz or lower, and your actual 1GHz kernels?

Lastly, this has been asked in other threads, but, given potential better stability, is it possible that I'm seeing better speed (or crispness) with the Medium Voltage kernel?

    Thanks again!!!

Why does his say recommended by TempMonitor program?

I downloaded the P3Droids kernel and it will not report cpu temp for me. Temp monitor tells me I need a Tasmanian custom droid. Did you go ne place in particular to download yours or was it just his regular page? Thanks!
