No it shouldn't unless someone wants to switch. Both are two different roms so they shouldn't have an effect on each other.
Ah ok didn't know if it was built off that mod or not

No Chevy builds almost everything himself. And plus the first Cyanogen with 2.2 just got released to the public while Chevy has been pushing them out for the public for a few weeks. I would say that the build numbers are the same but I am not sure what Cyanogen is.
The Changelog says it's built on FRF91, but the Droid version reports FRF81b. It's possible they spoofed the number to to solve some problems with the Market. Not that the build numbers matter - as we know that's just the proprietary bits.
I'm trying CM out to see how it looks. They've put some nice features in that I hope Chevy will consider emulating, but they aren't earthshaking for me. It's easier for them because they've got a bunch of people working together, and Chevy does it solo. (I'll be glad to help, Chevy, when I catch up. :-))
The Bluetooth HID support and mousepointer support look interesting, but I haven't tried it yet and don't know whether it applies to the Droid. I like how they incorporated what used to be Spare Parts extensions into the Settings menu as "CyanogenMod Settings".
The adjustable haptic feedback control is very attractive, but looks complicated. The browser enhancements are useful if you surf porn, but otherwise...meh. I remain a fan of the build-in of ADW Launcher, but that's not new.
The one thing that's interesting me the most is that battery life seems to me to be better on CM, but that's perception and anecdote...I haven't validated it yet with any objectivity. It also seems to have some performance tweaks, but again, O can't prove that.
Pound for pound, I'd be happier with SS 4.4 loaded with ADW Launcher, QuickDesk, MusicMod, and the version of Titanium that dropped today...at least that's my first impression.
Off-topic...that new version of Titanium kinda obviates bkapps/rstapps for me (sorry Chev :-)). It has an option to create an update.zip for itself. That's unnecessary with SS because Chevy includes Titanium, but it helps with other roms. The process isn't as fast with Titanium as with rstapps, but it does the job,it's interactive, it works on other roms, and it keeps all my backup and app management concerns in one place. Those of you who were wishing rstapps would work on other platforms should give Titanium another look. There's a not-necessarily-intuitive trick to getting your accounts restored, however...it seems you must restore both the Accounts and Sync Settings AND the Accounts entries in Titanium's app elements list.
Now, if you just want fast and hands-off reconfiguring of your phone, rstapps wins hands-down.
All this is IMHO...ymmv.
Best,
Raz
Oops, should have said the Droid CM6 report FRF84b, not FRF81b.
Quick note, I think why its 91 is chevy based it off the nexus one build, and ported it to droid
