6/25/2010 - BKAPPS/RSTAPPS Updated - Please Read
As of SS 4.2, there are new versions of these tools - so if you plan on migrating/trying SS4.2 and need to wipe, go to this link and download/install the bkapps.zip file:
http://chevyno1.richstevenson.com/froyo/4.2/bkapps.zip
Once installed and rebooted, run bkapps -c for a COMPLETE backup, including accounts, etc.
Wipe, flash 4.2. Run rstapps -c once phone is booted up. Reboot. You are done, the only thing that should be missing is the homescreen widgets.
Also NEW - bkapps/rstapps are 'apps2sd' aware - which means if you have some apps installed to SD when you run bkapps, it will remember - when you restore via rstapps, it will restore those same apps to SD

Just used the script and checked my SD card to make sure the backup was there, worked great.

I'm running bkapps -c which tells me it was successful, but when I go to restore, rstapps -c tells me that there is nothing to restore!

From the amount of stuff in there, it looks like it probably did what it was supposed to do.
/sdcard/SimplyStunning has a bunch of other folders, too - from the time stamped directory names they look like they were probably the products of individual instances of running bkapps -c, which I did several times when things weren't working.
I'm making some food but I'll edit this post with screen caps in a bit in case it helps.
Thanks for the response. I'm probably just going to go ahead and wipe at some point soon and do a clean install of 4.2 and hope things work correctly. Seems easier even than Ti Backup if I can get it to work...
EDIT:
