Chevy, I just rooted a friends droid on 2.1, installed bkapps, opened terminal ran bkapps -c. It only seemed to backup apps no data. Should bkapps -c back up data also if using with 2.1 standard rom rooted? Busybox is installed.
Hate to bump this thread, but I'm trying to use rstapps to get back to 4.96 from 5.01. All of the APK files are in SimplyStunning/apps on the SD card, but rstapps keeps saying there is nothing to restore. I'm using this from a terminal emulator. I backed up the apps using 4.96, and restored the phone to 4.96 from a nandroid backup. So basically, the version of bkapps I'm using should be the same as rstapps, since they are both from 4.96.
The problem now is that after the nandroid restore, seemingly all of the apps I had on the SD card are now not appearing in the app drawer, and the home screens are full of generic icons that no longer work. I was hoping rstapps could restore those, but it can't find anything to restore. *sigh*
Partial fix--the apps were actually in /SimplyStunning/apps-2.3.2. Copied to /SimplyStunning/apps and now it will run, but gets stuck on the first app (android.tether). Not sure why this is hanging up.
