My first post on the forum...
I couldn't just download and go away. ( I did it before)
But this time, I feel like I need to write something to thank ChevyNo1.

I used to use droidmod for easy installation, but now I became big fan of Simply Stunning.
I love it's stability and fast speed.
And I didn't expect to get 2.0.2 after 2.0.1 so soon.

well, I tried JIT with ERE25 before, but it was unstable.
Maybe this time I try JIT.

Bump. Can anyone help me... please?

Go to Settings/Applications and uninstall an app that is called something like com.google.android.maps. (something like that). Then go to system/app and find Maps.apk. Click it and select install. Do not attempt to install from Market. That should solve the problem.

Why wouldn't you delete the Maps in /system and install from market? I still don't understand why Maps and Facebook are part of this ROM.

Both of these were on the base ESE53 ROM. I have found in the past that removing apps typically isn't favored by most.

I'm still struggling to understand why people are having issues with maps. I have installed this ROM after a fresh wipe. Maps is there and working. It does NOT show up in Settings->Applications. I go to the Market, into downloads, it shows maps there, nothing to update, nothing to install.

I can't even replicate this problem that some of you are having, so what are you doing different than me? Any re-theming going on? I thought I saw someone post up earlier they applied the 24K theme on top - since it themes Maps, I'm guessing that is the issue.

I just went from Pete's BB 2.1 ESE53 v0.4 to Simply Stunning 2.0.2 and it all loaded up perfectly, but I noticed Google Maps was missing so I went to the market to download and install it and when it attempts to install I get an "Installation unsucessful" error and another error that says "Incompatible Update".

Please help!

I believe there are at least 2-3 posts somewhere in this thread that explain what the fix is ... still don't understand how this is happening since I can't replicate from a fresh wipe/install ..

quick question, for each new kernel/rom I flash do I have to re-enable JIT?

For the ROM's yes, not for the kernels

I just noticed that HOME/Launcher is not rotating/switching to landscape, when the keyboard is closed. (Which is great for me)

But I do remember it wasn't like this in 2.0.1.

ChevyNo1, did you make this change? Because I don't see anything about it on Page 1.

No you are correct, that behavior is new from the last one. It's because it's the new launcher with LWP interactivity. It took away the auto-rotate. It was an 'unplanned' side effect, but I thing it's a good trade-off.

I just installed this and it seems to be happy. I am using your 10 slot 1G kernel it seems to be the sweet one for me.

I recently went down the BlackDroid path 6.3 it was snappy but had to use your 10 slot 1G kernel, but i would have some weirdness happen, the big one was not waking up when pushing the power button randomly.

The short bench in set cpu for his ROM (6.3)was around 200ms, yours (2.0.2) is around 250, long was 4000-5000ms yours 952ms on average.

One thing, why do video's studder or sometimes not work? It happens on yours and his.

I have an Iron Man 2 trailer on my phone that i use for reference.

I'm guessing JIT was enabled on the BD ROM? That would explain the slightly lower short bench, and the BIG difference on the long bench.

Is this just when you play external videos, or also when you record videos?

Chevy, Maps is in manage apps just need to hit menu/filter/show all.
