NOTE: For first-time installs, there is a bug in the launcher where you'll see no icons when it first boots up. Swipe one screen left and they are there. Working on this currently.

If you are coming from 2.0.1, you MUST data wipe - if you do not, you WILL have problems

Nandroid Installation Instructions:

-NO data wiping required if using 2.1 now - your settings and apps stay intact, just like update.zip
-It is strongly suggested to nandroid-backup your current ROM before doing anything!
-Extract the files from the archive using WinRAR or a similar program
-Place the extracted folder (the ROM) into the "nandroid" folder on your sdcard
-Reboot into recovery mode
-Backup/Restore
-Advanced Nandroid Restore
-Choose backup (select the ROM)
-Perform Restore
-Done!

Do not worry that it shows 'data' as automatically being selected. It doesn't matter, as no data partition is in this nandroid backup.
Your data is safe and will not be touched!

-Overclocked Kernel with TEN slots allows clocking of 125-1200 MHz in mixed steps (credit to ChevyNo1)
- Supports TempMonitor
- I have spent many hours tweaking this kernel to run at the lowest possible voltage (no significant increase until 1100Mhz)
- With the 2.0.1 launcher, my testing + real world use has been rock solid, no reboots, no FC's, even @ 1.25Ghz
- This is a new kernel from previous releases that should run cooler, therefore more stable. This ALSO includes the STOCK
- 550Mhz slot, and the kernel DEFAULTS to that speed, until you use an app like SetCPU.

This build comes with the 1.2Ghz kernel; you can change that if you wish with the kernels I've also listed.

For those wanting to upgrade from my previous versions (1.0.x): You will need a to do a full wipe. If coming from my ERE25 build, I don't THINK you will need to do so. I am not positive however as I haven't tried it myself.

No I'm 99% positive you don't have to do anything different if coming from ere25. I've done it a couple times...

I had to wipe data downgrading from ese53 to ere25...but thats it I think

And also, (I'm back on ere25 now) whenever I was using ese53, your kernels *did* OC, but did *not* fix wifi, it was still broke

Any reason to upgrade if interactive wallpapers with a 2.01 launcher doesn't thrill you?

Have yet to see any definitive difference besides this.

Hi Chevy,

Upgraded to new ROM. Have a couple of issues. 1. Unable to connect to WiFi. 2. Swype error message. I think I know how to fix Swype, but I really would like the Wifi back. Any thoughts?

Did the ones that installed this ROM find any major bugs yet? Currently, I have the latest SmokedGlass ROM and it has a couple of major bugs (video playing only sound and not showing actual video, reboots phone while playing music and when you plug the USB to computer, force closes when too many widgets on the screens etc.) so I'm thinking of trying this out.
