    Re-Root my Droid?

Would it be ideal to unroot my droid, go back to stock. Start fresh and root it again, and flash a rom? Because i heard re-rooting your phone may make it faster or improve. I recently rooted my dad's droid and his phone feels brand new and alot better than mine. I rooted my phone all the way back when it was at android 2.0.1

When I first installed 5.6 things seemed to be lagging a lot so I un rooted and started fresh and it made a huge difference. Things are running great and my ol' droid is fast again =)

Hmm, While I can appreciate the thought here, I don't know that its necessary.

I would use RZR and wipe all, and install the new ROM. Once you install a ROM you should be wiping anyways, which will undo everything the SBF did in the first place.

Its not a necessity, but many people have been reporting big increases in speed when they do it. I know my phones been running a little better since I did it.

Yes definitely in some cases it's working. Someone here linked to a thread over on the BB forum about the procedure. The last few posts are talking about how wiping just formats the partitions and SBF completely deletes and re-creates them. My phone is definitely running slightly better since doing this. I don't notice it as much in normal app use, but games like Angry Birds Seasons Mooncake episode that were extremely laggy and freezing up before are now playable for me again.
