    Droid - SS 5.4
    #91
I loaded this ROM last night. I had been on 5.4. I wiped everything 3x and rebooted then installed this ROM. Seems to be running great EXCEPT I still have my wi-fi issues. Those issues manifest themselves as random reboots when connected to a non broadcasting SSID. I have had those issues since 5.4, never had them in any 4.x version. My solution thus far has been to completely disable wi-fi. I may try the SBF back to stock to see if it will finally clear that issue up once and for all. Thanks Chevy, other than my wi-fi issues, this looks like another great ROM!

I'm in the same boat here... thinking a fresh start would be best, but not 100% sure on the backup/restore process outside of Titanium.

So I'm just wondering if this is normal. I have 2 gmail accounts on D1 and on SS5.6 I get 2 notification icons for each account. I don't think it was that way on SS5.5.

    Anybody???

If you have FC, lag, sounds, etc and think your og droid HW is failing - READ THIS.

I will be the first to admit that I was skeptical of the validity of this. Technically, there doesn't seem to be a reason why this should work, but I tried it anyway and lo and behold my device now runs like it did in its heyday! It would seem that something isn't properly being wiped, or that some corruption is occurring during a custom recovery (CW in my case) wipe. SBF'ing everything (including recovery), rerooting, reflashing recovery, and reloading a custom ROM has made an incredible difference. I thought I would pass this along, since not everyone may read the other ROMs forums. I would still love to know why this works, but it does.
I can attest to this. I sbf'd and started from scratch back on 5.5, and my OG Droid has never run better.

OK, sbf'd and busy getting everything set back up to my liking. I won't really know about the wi-fi issue until I get home because it always reboots there.

It happens to me in SS 5.5 also. I think it's supposed to be that way, so you have an icon for each account.

So you're saying you have two notifications for each individual account, meaning if you were to receive an email to both accounts at the same time, you would have four notifications? I'm not sure if this would even be possible, but maybe you have two GMail apps somehow working at the same time, independent of each other. You could try removing GMail from /system using Chevy's scripts. If you don't have two apps, and hence after removing it via scripts you're left with no GMail, just re-install from the market and see if the problem persists.

However, as sn2hotty pointed out, if you just get one icon/notification per account, for a total of two icons/notifications, that should be normal. You can always turn off notifications for one or the other.
