"This app is incompatible with your Droid"

I'm getting a lot of this "incompatibility" error in the Android Market since I upgraded to SS 5.4. I can't see any specific issue that would cause this - but I can tell you that on my phone's side, apps that I used to have installed now don't show up, and if I go to the Market through my web browser, I get the above error message, and I cannot install the app. Groupon is one example of an app that I used to have installed, and which worked properly, that I'm now told is incompatible (and the Market via the web browser claims I already have it installed, while it tells me that it's also incompatilbe). Is it really a matter of it is technically incompatible, and I will have to hunt for an APK to install it myself, or is it possible that something else is wrong?

Tried searching the forums, but I didn't see anything specifically related to this issue, apologies if I missed it.

All signs point to just needing a new phone. I never did get the GPS problem fixed, and I just need to hold out another month for my upgrade from Verizon. Problem is, I don't want any of the LTE phones they have. :-/

Yes, I did. Sorry, should have mentioned that. Also ran fix permissions, cleared Market data/cache, most easy fixes short of a wipe/reinstall.

Did you delete your "android_secure" folder from your sdcard? That fix was posted in the OP for SS 5.4.

Yeah that's odd. Did flash 5.4 over 5.3, or something else?

I know people were having problems with the android market, but I think that was theme related. I suppose you could uninstall the market and reinstall the apk.

Other than that, I think a full wipe is in order.

Full wipe is not needed though. Delete the android_secure folder and you're good.

spc_hicks09 I'm having the same issue as the OP, specifically after I saw this thread I checked to see if Groupon was available and it wasn't. I've tried everything the OP has, as well as your suggestion to delete the android_secure folder from my SD Card to no avail. I am still unable to download this particular app from the market, when I did not have this problem on any other ROM.

    Try it using these steps:

    Reboot to recovery
    Mount USB
    Plug in to PC
    Delete android_secure folder
    Unmount USB
    Wipe Dalvik cache
    Wipe Cache Partition

Reboot, I'm not promising this will work but it should. If that doesn't work then I have no idea what's wrong.

I just did that, and it didn't fix the issue, and now several apps that I used to have installed (Google Reader, Facebook, etc.) are now no longer installed and are "not compatible with your device" when I go to the Market. This sucks. Probably end up wiping/reinstalling.

EDIT: This is, of course, because it's where Apps2SD stores programs, which I just learned. Problem is, somehow I lost my backups with Titanium backup, so I can't reinstall them from that either. No time like the present to wipe/reinstall, I suppose.

    Virus?

I'd go ahead and wipe everything multiple times and start new.
