I remember, buried somewhere, in some battery thread (tried searching, but there are literally millions of them) that there is a command to run in terminal that will show me apps/processes that are running in the background. I have kept an eye on running processes in settings, and there is nothing abnormal in there (except Music 3.0, btw if anyone has a way to keep this from starting itself that'd be awesome too.).
Anyway, the reason I want to do this is because all of the sudden my battery life has plummeted. I used to get through the day (15-16 hrs) with about 40% battery left. Yesterday, and most notably today, I have barely made it through the day... and only used my phone to send about 10 texts... and that was it! other than that it was sitting there with the screen off. It just died 3 seconds ago, after about 13 hours, but it has been sitting at 5 for a couple hours now (went from 20 to 5 in about 1.5 hr). The SetCPU 'time in state' says that it was clocked at 125 MHz 57% of the time.... So, either my battery is near end of life, or there is something in the background chewing on the battery... any help would be appreciated! (using SS 5.4.1 btw)
I'm going to charge tonight, wipe batt stats and cache in the AM, and see how that goes. but id like to get a look at whats going on behind the scenes in phone before replacing the battery. tia
