Not knocking other threads, but I'm not super into the visual set up as I am about tweaking. SS is pretty amazing, but what other set ups does everyone have? I love ideas! Mine:

SS5.4
Stock Kernel 250-900 Smartass
Compcache off
JIT on, Purging on, VM - 32mb
Swapper 20sw/48mb
Locked in memory - Home, Handcent and PowerAmp
No supercharge (Can't seem to work on mine... maybe some ideas?)

Battery life - HEAVY use - about 8 hrs, moderate use 12-16, light - who knows?
Capabilities - Can run music and surf or play game, or use navigation at the same time, can play most games (Plants vs Zombies has an issue)

Anyone have another set up? My preference is SUPER multi-tasking capability. D1's ONLY downside is lack of RAM IMO...

How's that working? Good multi-tasking? Good battery? Snappy? (Also, from what I understand, 256mb Swapper is way overkill... not for certain, but from what I hear... correct me if I'm wrong)

Battery life sucks but I need a new battery anyway and I don't use swapper unless needed which is hardly ever. Multitasking isn't too bad, although I do reboot once in awhile, seems to make it snappier.

I will add that I use my phone alot which is one reason why I have poor battery life plus I'm still using the battery that came with my phone over a year ago.

home and setcpu locked in memory
supercharge balanced 2. Allows me to use multiple big apps at once(browser+angry birds for instance)
vm-48mb. don't see a diff in anything over 32 so i just set it max. No problems.
setcpu advanced: 32000,99,0, either 0,250 or 333 in final slot.

havent "heavy" tested it yet but light use is about 50-60 hours meaning mostly just texts.

Still tweaking vsels but i havent hit over 100.4 degrees in a while with this setup and thats usually charging + tasking.

Yeah, I use my almost habitually as well. But I also have the D2 extended battery. I watch movies on netflix, tether, play games, listen to music constantly... I'm lucky mine hasn't gone on strike! But I'd love to figure out more stategies to keep it going longer. I feel like working around the memory issues would just make the D1 perfect. Compcache seems to weird up the memory management for me, as well as the Superpower script... my memory chokes at times (like randomly doesn't work efficiently) but overall the Swapper helps me.

ya but like i said thats like 90% idle time. A few texts and maybe a few games/calls.

I just like it just in case i lose it, i can use tasker to find my phone with the locate phone profile.

compcache can make your phone slower though if you don't reboot your phone, use chevy's task killer, or use compcache restart in terminal. So basically, if you got compcache on and go like 4 days without doing any of the above methods, it will slow your phone down alot.
