Market Issues

I am still running 4.91 and its been running fine so I haven't upgraded yet. But today I started getting "download unsuccessful" errors in the market when trying to upgrade or install anything new.

I have tried clearing market data, cache, deleting the android_secure folder and most any other "fix" I could find all with no luck.

I'm a little hesitant to go forward to 5.4 with the market acting tis way because then I wouldn't have any of my programs. Any ideas on what my market issue could be? Do you think going to 5.4 may actually resolve it?

I know this won't "fix" the issue, but came across this myself today(although with UD 2.5), wife is currently on UD 2.5 and able to download from market ok. Flashed SS 5.4 and now all is well. Hope you can fix the issue, unsure where you should start out at. Maybe clearing your .asec ?

Reboot into recovery, mount usb and delete the android_secure folder on your sdcard. If you don't want to delete the whole folder then mount usb and open the folder. Delete any duplicate files you see. Either one should clear up any market issues you're having.

I already tried deleting the folder and it did not resolve my problem.

I went ahead and upgraded to 5.4 and the market is now working fine again. Great ROM so far.
