WidgetLocker & Theme Chooser can coexist! :)

I have been testing this for hours now and this is now a tried and trued method to get WidgetLocker to work in conjunction with Theme Chooser themes. (This should work with other roms also! )

In theme chooser, switch to system(if not already done so)

reboot (not hot reboot)

install WidgetLocker

lock WidgetLocker in memory

run app through the initial tutorial

Got to settings then enable roothelper

Then enable homehelper's launcher(choose your actual launcher) then upon selecting system's home choose "WL Homehelper (optional)" along with marking it as default.

setup widgets/sliders

disable stock lockscreen in tablet settings (if isn't already disabled)

reboot (not hot reboot)

(optional)
switch theme

reboot (not hot reboot) phone to test removal of widgets

To take my testing even further, to change/add/remove widgets. Go to Settings>Manage Applications>All> Theme Chooser and force stop. Launch Widget Locker again and edit as necessary then reboot.

You are quite welcome. I uninstalled widgetlocker earlier today as being on gingerbread as 5.4 it was causing lag. On froyo no issues due to not requiring as much memory.

really? hmmm, i dont have any issues with memory. What launcher are you using? maybe thats the culprit?

ADW Ex 1.22 on fast preset.

maybe its cause of that fastest preset, idk I dont use ADW. Im on Launcher Pro (not plus, yet), on the 'Low' (second to lowest) memory setting, and i have any issues. LP still runs really fast too, no lag or anything even though its on the low setting. maybe worth a shot?

Ive also tried Zeam Launcher, and really liked it. Not as many options as the other two, but extremely functional and low memory usage.

Yeah, I will give that a shot. I need to backup and reflash SS 5.4 anyways. Oh hey! Makes me think, I will be running basically the same setup as you!! xD

Hahahha niiice. Love the Orange Octane Theme. Every once in a while i switch to the Galaxy Green. With either one I always have green/orange status bar colors, background, widgets, icons, ect.

With testing EVEN further....

The key is to do the initial setup keeping WL locked in memory and when wanting to switch widgets making sure theme chooser is disabled. Out of all of my testing with the app, I now have 0 issues!
