    So are you saying that you had to do everything listed in the OP just to keep widget locker from getting killed? I've been running it with no issues at all.

    Not that the process was getting killed. If you switch themes using Theme Chooser alot, widgets on WL start to get pulled and removed if it's not locked in memory.
