5.3 Rocks!

Just wanted to say good job with 5.3 Chevy.

I was having minor issues with 5.2 and this seemed to fix everything. I wiped data and cache a few times before the install and am currently running it without making any script, CPU, performance, or kernal changes. This is super smooth.

I know its only been a day, but everything is perfect.

Chevy, Seriously this is the best SS build ever. It has ran the smoothest and fastest for me and I still have not come across any bugs. I also love all of the customization. One thought though what about combining Cyanogenmod tools and Chevy tools together?

Make sure you point out that it didn't happen on everyone's device though. If something happens to a few people, it doesn't mean it will happen to everyone. I've never had a heat issue with this ROM running it full stock. Not even when charging. Just don't want people to shy away from this amazing ROM because they think that EVERYONE is having this issue. Sorry if that comes off as me being an a$$. Not trying to be, seriously. Sorry.

Two big reasons:

1) I like to keep his work separate from mine - that way it is clear what has been added by CM versus what has been added by me.

2) Each time I do a build, I pull down latest CM code. If my code is merged with his, it can be a nightmare to merge my latest changes with his latest changes - I touch a BIT of CM's stuff in the performance options screen, and that usually is a bit of work to get working again, with each build, as CM constantly adds new stuff.

Absolutely. However, it was that particular kernel, not the ROM itself.

That being said, I will still stand by my post as I am unable to report what others experience. This was my first negative experience on SS since 3.x (4.95 was a fluke).

So, carry on, but watch your man parts with that kernel.

i would have to agree that 5.3 with the latest kernels is the bees knees. I didnt even really notice my phone being hot with the other kernels, but with these new ones its almost cold. awesome work man
