Native overclocking vs third party overclocking question

I've been having problems with overclocking lately. I want to use setcpu because of the profiles, but it seems the native overclocking feature in ss is dominant over setcpu. When I try to set the frequency in setcpu, it stays but when I exit and go back into the app it's set to whatever the native is set to. There's also no way to disable the native overclocking feature, but I'm probably wrong. Any help is appreciated

Not sure about turning off the native, but if you set the min/max in the native, setCPU should not have any issues.

SetCPU just goes beyond the native to allow for the profiles.

Extra thought....If you uncheck "start at boot" in the native and reboot, it shouldn't be active.

Correct - if that is left unchecked - it does not run
