    Unhappy Choppy video recording

Using 5.0 and 5.1 with clean installs, video recording is very choppy on playback running at any clock speed. I use video recording a lot with the kids so I guess I'm going back to 4.xx as it never had this issue. After going back to 4.xx I will post if issue persists. Maybe my phone is just failing mechanically from excessive overclocking.

Have you tried a different kernel? Chevy mentioned in another thread that the ULV kernels may not have enough power to run the camera properly. I'd make a backup and try one of his LV kernels.

EDIT: Assuming, of course, you're not using the LV already

Try to set the video quality to "YouTube" and see if it's better. Also before shooting video clean up memory with "Android Assistant" I found this to work well. Also SS5.2 should clear this and any issues up with the video cam. Hope this helps.
