About LinkBacksI had posted about this before for 5.01 and hadn't really heard anything. But is anyone else having this issue? I was running on 4.96 for the longest time but when I run a backup then wipe cache/data and install a fresh 5.1SS ROM followed by rstapps the restore doesn't seem to have fully worked. I will try and list the issues I'm seeing...
- Apps missing
- none of my exchange contacts show (they are enabled in the "Display Options")
- I have 2 instances of ADW
- I've only found 1 app so far that actually kept it's data(lost all texts, progress in games etc)
- exchange email app asks to setup an account even though its listed in "Accounts"

03-10-2011 09:16 AMIt SHOULD be finding it - but to be sure - check /sdcard/SimplyStunning for directories - the newest one likely is named 'apps'. Rename to apps-2.3.3 for 5.1 - try it again. It SHOULD pick it up, but perhaps not ...

It actually seems worse off this time around. I don't even have my exchange account present now after the restore. And all of the same issues listed in the OP are still there.
*edit* yeah it's def worse. Even that apps that did save their settings before didn't this time. -

03-10-2011 10:21 AMOK - I am thinking that the problems are because it is saving app data in FROYO, and trying to restore into GINGERBREAD. I have tried this myself, and I do not get good results. This means a wipe and manual restore of apps and data ...

03-10-2011 10:29 AMOther roms don't have this script right? When switching roms, manualling reinstalling or letting google attempt to reinstall(jsut to let them reinstall 4 of them lol) is annoying. I haven't used this yet but it seems incredibly awesome. a couple clicks and it saves/restores everything. I don't think i'll be switching any time soon though
. Where is the file saved when you backup?

It saves everything to /sdcard/SimplyStunning/app-<android version)
ie. /sdcard/SimplyStunning/apps-2.3.3D1 GB (10/17/2011) - Simply Stunning Gingerbread v5.6 (2.3.7) - from Source - 10/17/2011
