Still better than anything else
I'll list my remaining bugs here.
First, Launcher Pro is restarting after closing some apps and windows. I tried a few tweaks from the other thread and out improved slightly, but it is still restarting.
Another more serious problem I've noticed throughout the day its that the screen its now very jumpy. Threw are times I can try to trap an icon with one finger but the screen twitches bellow it. Worse is while trying to Swype...sometimes it is twitching so much that it is inserting multiple letters, some of which I haven't even touched. This was not happening yesterday when I was using 4.96. Sometimes if of hold the phone a certain way it seems to work, but it is not consistent.
There are other minor problems but most are covered by others here already. The two above are bad enough that I may go back to 4.96 and wait another version or two.
Great work chevy, looks great!
Down to business. This isn't a SS bug really, more of a gingerbread thing but, back in froyo you could use a bootanimation binary pulled from a r2d2 droid 2 to play sound files during the boot. Worked flawlessly on the D1. Now in gingerbread the binary doesn't want to run, from what I can tell it seems like a symbol is missing (or moved) from the egl library. Is it possible to fix/patch this? Here's a screen shot of the error from the binary. Thanks chevy, you rock man.

Only bug I've found so far is Google Goggles force closes. It starts, the camera opens and it will close in about 5 seconds.
