SS GB 5.00 is Ready! - 2/11/11

That's not specific to this rom. I've had it with ss, bb, lgb, and others. I don't know why, just kind of accepted it as something i can't fix...

Nice ROM. I'm trying to change the Network Operator ID from 'Simply Stunning 5.00' to my name so it will show up on my Bluetooth in my car. Pulldown editor will change it in regular CM GB ROM's but it doesn't seem to cooperate with your implementation.

I've made the change in Chevy1 Tools to chane the carrier text which works for the lockscreen but doesn't affect the Network ID setting.

Any idea on how I might change this? I'm comfortable with editing files on my PC or on my Droid.

Hmmm - I am guessing CM is actually editing the XML, whereas I am not - only changing it at runtime. But I will look into it .. hard for me to test as I only have a BT headset which doesn't display anything.

I wouldn't think it would be ROM-related either... jmdroid posted that question made that connection. I'm actually saying it's NOT ROM related, and it could be due to electrical noise on the charge circuits.

Just passing along something I've noticed. Maybe someone already posted this.

I have been using it the last few days... so far... loving it like all other SS releases. Dedicated user of SS 4.9

I have noticed on this SS GB though the "Force close option" is missing.
When long press of the 'back key' it does not give you the option to force close or continue. This was one of the new features in GingerBread and also tasted on some other roms.... but like I said, as soon as I saw this release, here I am. :-D

Look in Settings/About Phone/Status and see what's listed for "Network" which is "Simply Stunning 5.00". However that gets to that point is what I would like to be able to change 'cause that's what shows up on the bluetooth screen in my car.

If you look in the settings>applications>development there is an option to hold back to terminate current app. There's no popup asking you if you want to fc, it just does it, though. Idk if this is what you were looking for.

I wanted to know if I can apply the blue gingerbread key board and the blue 2.2.11 market to your ssg 5.0 rom? Also does ssg 5.0 come with a new kernel built in or will I need to install one? Thanks in advance.

I have a strange looping issue. It loops at SS logo, not moto bootloop

I'm using RZ recovery.

I haven't been using SS in a while but I thought I would give v5 a try. I don't know if it's the GB code or your new kernel but my phone has never been snappier! I've had no problems at all. Thanks! I'm running the LV kernel at 1ghz.
