GPS acting wonky
Hey all
I am having a bit of a problem
I'll try to be brief and not make this a novel
Phone is c771 version 2.3.3 rooted Paxchristos method, running v6 supercharger option 3
And juice defender ultimate in aggressive mode.
Problem. Shortly after running supercharger noticed my GPS will not activate with Google maps, viewranger app, Facebook app and a
Few others. It does come on for location from browser, and on rebooting.
Ive tried reinstalling the apps and unsupercharging reloading from titanium ,all to no avail.
Anybody else have a fix ? I would love a little insight.
Thanks

Thanks for the response Paxchristos!
I just did a search using Astro, starting with the / directory for com.android.location and came up with nothing.
Does that sound correct to you? What should i do?

I had the wrong name, first check /system/app for networkLocation.apk
Second off, try this https://market.android.com/details?i...ndroid.gpstest (if you click on the link on your computer, when you sign in, you can field it to your phone.)
Hit menu -> clear aiding data.

I do have networklocation.apk in the system folder and I downloaded GPStest on my phone via your link, cleared aiding data. first with restart of phone then once again without. no dice with either.
I'm stumped because like I said the gps comes on with some things, but not with apps that they should like maps. It's really weird. is it possible the networklocation.apk file is corrupt or something?

Honestly, I've got no clue, I'm just grasping at straws. I doubt your network location is screwed up, that was just a check...

Cool, Well thanks for trying Paxchristos. I'll spread this question around to some of the other forums and see if there are any bites. If I find a fix I'll be sure to post it, it's probably something really simple I'm overlooking.
